Join Neptune Township Emergency Medical Services and be part of a team that saves lives!
No experience is necessary – if you have the will to help, we will show you the way. Training is free for volunteers.
There are four Volunteer EMS Squads who work together to serve Neptune Township. Joining gives you a unique opportunity to learn from and serve with volunteers who have an extraordinary amount of experience, yet make your mark and help shape traditions moving forward.
Joining a squad can be a critical life experience. We have found that the great majority of our members leverage their training and commitment into advanced education and careers. Our squad has spawned nurses, doctors, educators, government leaders, paramedics, physicians assistants, firefighters, police officers, federal agents, public employees, small business owners, corporate executives and so much more.
There are many ways to serve, and volunteers are needed in all categories:
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)provide immediate care to the ill and inured and transport the patient to the hospital.
- Support Members are people over the age of 18 who have a desire to serve in a non-emergency way. Opportunities include community education, fundraising, and events.

Neptune Township EMS Paid Division
The Neptune Township Paid Division was formed in 2011 to fill the gaps of EMS coverage during the day. While our volunteers are encouraged to respond to emergencies during the day, our paid division staffs ambulances 7 days each week from 06:00 – 18:00 hours and some hours throughout the night shifts.
